HOW TO REACH AND LEAVE ROME
Fiumicino International Airport (FCO), about 30 km from the city centre, is the main Italian gateway with direct flights from the most relevant cities all over the world.
It is connected to downtown Rome by Leonardo Express train shuttles (32 min, departures every 15 min) and by buses.
Both buses and train shuttle arrive at Termini railway station, one km far from the symposium venue.
Rome’s second airport, Ciampino (CIA), is used mainly by low-cost carriers and is linked to Termini railway station by bus.
Almost all Italian and European destinations are connected to Rome by trains stopping at Termini and Tiburtina railway stations.

The city of Rome offers a wide range of accommodation ranging from very cheap to very expensive. We present a list of potential hotels, located within a walking distance to the symposium venue.
Otherwise, you may book by yourself as that the number of hotels in Rome is countless; only in one km range from CNR Headquarters there are hundreds accommodation structures.
Since Rome is a touristic city and June is already high season, it is advised to make an early hotel booking to increase the chances to get good offers.
